 A few months ago, JOLLY BLAST books where shared with young players, ages 4 - 8, of the South Bronx United Soccer Club as part of their first ever Literacy Day. In fact, the books were read to these younger players by older youth from their U15, U17 and U19 programs. South Bronx United serves 500 boys and girls, aged 4- 19, through soccer, education, and character and leadership development programs.

JOLLY BLAST books were given away to attendees at Urban Soccer Colloborative’s annual conference. Also supported by the US Soccer Foundation, the USC brings folks together from all over the world. A large majority of those present at the three-day event are folks dedicated to bringing positive change to the lives of at-risk youth both in the US and internationally – to transform lives through soccer.

JOLLY BLAST books have been used in the DC United’s "United Soccer Club" youth soccer program and the DC United “Adopted School Program” – bringing soccer and literacy efforts into local Washington DC communities schools for kids ages 4 to 12. JOLLY BLAST books were also shared with USC kids on the way to a “Let’s Move!” soccer event on the South Lawn of the White House!

On a recent trip to Africa, members of the Heavenly Treasures' Kenya Team shared JOLLY BLAST books with the "Kamba Kids" - a group of HIV/AIDS orphans from around the community that Heavenly Treasures supports through livelihood projects. The JOLLY BLAST soccer sports adventure book, was submitted for scientific review. As a result, "The Alliance for a Healthier Generation has approved Soccer: A Universal Sport to be included in the resource database used by schools enrolled in their Healthy Schools Program."
Big news recently that concerns both kids and parents is the old "Food Pyramid" is being scrapped for better, easier to see and understand logo/graphics....and it's impact on American eating. This a huge improvement over the old "Food Pyramid" because it is based on portions of a regular diet.
